This is an English forum - So folks can actually moderate. No one will arrest you for insulting everyone in Polish, though. Don't sweat if your English is spotty, as long as you're trying.
This is not a doomer zone - Grab some tea and relax. Social media is for meltdowns and misery. Forums are for zen and hyper-fixation on niche topics.
Care about opsec - Don't go posting selfies and telling everyone where you live. This was always a bad idea on the internet regardless what companies say. The same applies to not posting other folks' personal information.
Get along - You'll find casually chatting about interests is the easiest way to not get into dumb arguments. Unless you're talking about technology. Or anime. Or videogames. Or anything.
Don't dump NSFW and explicit material - While the assumption is everyone here's old enough to remember what forums were 18 years ago, this is a public forum and archive. Leave the spicy saucy stuff for the jalapeño cheese dip.
Linking - Don't dump shortened links or misrepresent links. Moderating it sucks. There is one exception where maliciously hiding a link (https://hydra.place) is allowed.
Piracy - Come on now. Don't go posting links to download the latest Netflix show or whatever.
Crypto/NFTs/Beanie Babies - You're far away from your tribe. Unless you're gonna send me free bitcoin, this isn't where you want to be.
GenAI - Anyone can throw money at AI tools or run StableDiffusion locally. It takes a certain level of insanity to actually make stuff. Hydra Place is for insane devs who like making stuff and honing the craft (and fans that want to subsidize such devs.)
Rules are Guidelines - As an unfair authoritarian dictatorship, all rules are subject to context and whatever my mood is on a given day. We'd really rather not ban people unless they're just straight up negligent or annoying, so you're not going to get banned because you mentioned stealing someone's copy of Pokemon Ruby in third grade.
